Grassroots Organizing Cools The Planet: Teach-In & Action!

Ruckus is a proud co-sponsor of the Mobilization for Climate Justice-West’s Grassroots Organizing Cools the Planet Teach-In December 1st and Action December 7th, as part of La Via Campesina‘s call for a "Thousand Cancuns" December 7th, to take local actions for climate justice across the nation.

If you’re in the San Francisco Bay Area, come out to the Teach-In and Action here.  If you live outside of the Bay Area, check if an action is happening near you, or start one!

Wednesday, December
5:30pm – 8:30pm

The Women’s Building, San Francisco
3543 18th Street, between Valencia & Guerrero
(Childcare and Translation will be provided)

Community-based Solutions Cool the Planet!

Front-line communities, the communities first and most impacted by the climate crisis, are addressing the root causes of climate change and leading the way toward a healthy, safe and just future.

Push for the creation of a public park in the Mission on publicly-owned land currently used as a parking lot.  We’ll build a garden, celebrate community-based activism and enjoy speakers, music and theater featuring the headRush crew!

Join us in an action supporting a community-led solution here in the Bay Area!

Tuesday, December 7th,
3:30pm – 5:30pm

Corner of 17th Street & Folsom
Mission District, San Francisco
