While the UNFCC gathers in Cancun, Mexico Nov 29-Dec 10, for the COP-16 Climate Negotiations, La Via Campesina has called for communities to create "thousands of Cancuns" by hosting local actions around climate and ecological justice in their communities around the U.S. and the world.
While a Ruckus Action Team is in Cancun taking actions at the COP-16 itself, those of us who are staying at home are also teaming up with our allies at Grassroots Global Justice and our coalition partners at Mobilization for Climate Justice-West to take actions that highlight real climate and ecological solutions in our local communities.
