New Orleans Network – September 2006

Adrienne Maree Brown just returned from New Orleans, where she was engaged in her third organizational development session with the New Orleans Network. This work, which Adrienne started during her time at the League of Pissed Off Voters, has continued to grow with the Network site now receiving over 1,000 unique visits a day from New Orleanians communicating about how their city, their art, and their communities are making a comeback. The Ruckus Society is honored to be added to the organizational sponsors of the New Orleans Network, and will return in the next year to provide nonviolent direct action training to a movement of activists who are stepping up in fearlessness as the developers and government in and around New Orleans continue to fail the people.
