Silicon Valley Toxics Coalition

The Ruckus Society trained 15 leaders from University of California campuses that will be leading campaigns for socially and environmentally responsible purchasing and recycling of electronic products on their campuses. These students are interning with the Silicon Valley Toxics Coalition. Sarah led a Campaign Strategy workshop on Wednesday, August 16th.  Cy and satya facilitated an introduction to training on Nonviolent Direct Action on Friday, and Kate followed with an Anti-Oppression training the next day.  Throughout the conference, the students participated in a wide range of trainings on organizing and campaign skills, as well as issues related to electronics and environmental justice.
