We Got Issues!

We Got Issues! A Young Woman’s Guide to a Bold, Courageous, and Empowered Life is now on the bookstands and available online. What does that have to do with The Ruckus Society? Well, Ruckus’ own Adrienne Maree Brown has two pieces published in it! The We Got Issues team came through the Bay and invited Adrienne and other local authors and women leaders to a Women’s Leadership Retreat in the beautiful Solstice Grove, where the focus was on the vision and struggle of being a modern female in leadership positions. Adrienne also joined the ladies for a reading at Oakland’s biggest black-owned bookstore, Marcus Books.
